I no longer have the issue of malwarebytes or any of these scanners crashing upon opening, nor the one of chrome/etc crashing when searching for malwarebytes etc. It had 12 detected threats end up quarantined ■ IMMEDIATELY after startup, I ran malwarebytes in admin mode via right click context menu. ■ I created a shortcut to malwarebytes on the desktop
■ I ran each one of these as administrator via right click context menu ■ I restarted my computer in safe mode without network access ■ I installed adwcleaner, malwarebytes, hitmanpro and roguekiller64 (all free) ■ I restarted my computer in safe mode with network access (w10) I have no idea what step actually fixed it, but I'll say everything I did anyway. This malware is really starting to grind my gears and I'd love some help.Īlright, I've managed to finally fix this stupid malware. I'm having the same issue as OP and like them have already tried using malwarebytes so please stop suggesting it.
